Scott Walker can't explain his way out of this...

As you know, I've been begging someone to add up all the money Scott Walker has wasted bringing all his ideological fantasies to life. Well, it has finally happened.

The following list could probably be added to, but this is a great start. Who would have thought that taking back so much of our federal taxes would be so bad? Thank you, James Rowen, at Political Environment:

7 Walker moves which cost, or lost, Wisconsin $2.6+ billion

Here are the 7 biggest financial fails by our fake fiscally-conservative Governor:

* $11 million in forfeited Federal Medicaid fraud award eligibility.

* $20.6 million and counting for settlements and payments traced to the youth prison crisis he ignored for years at Lincoln Hills.

* $23 million in forfeited Federal broadband expansion funding.

* $50 million in settlement awards and equipment losses over the Amtrak train set assembly facility contract broken by Wisconsin under Walker.

* $750 million to build an extra 19 miles of Milwaukee freeway lanes which planners had recommended against, but which Walker championed.

* $810 million in Federal Amtrak Milwaukee-to-Madison rail construction funds Walker forfeited.

* $1+ billion in Federal Medicaid expansion funding Walker has refused to accept through the end of the 2017-'19 state budget.

These forfeited programs or awards would have added jobs, taxable property, public revenues and spin-off development.

Who knew we had the luxury to reject all that?

Weekly News from Your Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair

A message from Chair Laning on Labor Day:
This Labor Day, I’m so grateful for the hard work and determination of leaders before us who fought tooth and nail for the rights of our nation’s working people. The Democratic Party has been proud to stand beside the workers of Wisconsin through some of the toughest fights our state has seen. And we will stand arm in arm together as we build a better future for our families and our communities.
We remain committed as ever to fighting for a living minimum wage, for ensuring working people have the ability to organize for better working conditions, for equal pay guarantees and for workplaces free of discrimination. We all do better when we all do better, and that means making sure hardworking Wisconsinites have a fair shot at getting ahead.

Hey Scott Walker --
Hands off our health care!

Tony Evers and local health care advocates sent a loud message to Scott Walker this week: Keep your hands off our health care! Tony kicked off a week of statewide healthcare events in Milwaukee along with some inspiring community health leaders, then the rest of our crew, including Josh Kaul, Mandela Barnes, and our amazing Senate and Assembly candidates, carried the torch around the state, spreading the vision that an Evers/Barnes ticket will work towards: affordable, quality health care for all.

Wisconsinites are sick and tired (literally!) of Scott Walker’s political stunts. When Walker rejected BadgerCare expansion, he denied some 80,000 Wisconsinites coverage, and that’s just unacceptable. When the care of real people is on the line, there’s no time to play politics. Tony will accept the Medicaid expansion on day one, restoring much needed care to tens of thousands of Wisconsinites. We need a governor who will do what’s best AND what’s right.

As the week progressed, we heard from more candidates and activists, and folks who, quite frankly, have felt the damage from Walker's political games.
But we have a real fighting chance in Tony Evers to defeat Scott Walker and make Wisconsin a state where folks can get the care they need. Tony will make sure folks with pre-existing conditions have the coverage they need, and he'll make sure women, not politicians, are in charge of their own health care decisions. Tony Evers will fight for those who need help the most.

Koch groups spend more than $6 millio9n against Tammy Baldwin
If there’s one thing Tammy has proven, it's that she'll fight tooth and nail for Wisconsinites. That's why Republican corporate interest groups have been teaming up on her, throwing millions of more dollars against her this week.

In addition, Leah Vukmir hosted Vice President Mike Pence in our state last night,
charging people $25,000 to sit at a table.

.

Senator Baldwin has proven time and time again that she knows Wisconsinites. She cares about upholding our values, she’ll work hard to make sure people have the healthcare coverage they deserve, and she’s not afraid to stand up to special interests, unlike her opponent.

The contrast couldn’t be clearer: Leah Vukmir is in the pocket of the Koch Brothers while Tammy stands up to those same special interests so that she can put Wisconsin first.

Rough week for Scott Walker

Governor Walker found himself in a bit of a pickle at several points this week, from losing track of 3,000 unaccounted sex offenders to redefining what “on time and on budget” really means…Walker tried to pull the rug out from under Wisconsinites this week with a fancy ribbon cutting ceremony on a highway project that has YEARS left before it’s actually completed!

Our state needs real leadership. Governor Walker has neglected our schools, roads and made decisions that increased our healthcare costs. It’s time to a change, and electing a Democratic ticket will make that change happen.
Speaking of Walker’s failures, on Wednesday, Harley-Davidson celebrated its 115th birthday. Instead of standing up for Wisconsin businesses and Wisconsin workers, Walker ducked his head for an entire day to avoid angering Trump (who, if you haven’t noticed, has been picking a fight with Harley). How can we trust someone to govern our state when he can barely drum up the characters to tweet a response to Trump?
